If you end up building on your own, you could take the Fedora spec file
from here http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/hadoop.git/, and build it
on copr: https://copr-fe.cloud.fedoraproject.org/.  It will probably
reduce the work to a few minutes, and you are still using packages to
manage the installation.  Copr even has a CLI!
