Hello everyone, I'm happy to announce the release of Genode 25.11.
https://genode.org/documentation/release-notes/25.11 In this release, we wrap up our year of "rigidity, clarity, performance" with many under-the-hood improvements as well as some prominent changes. First, our custom kernel received special tuning of its new CPU scheduler addressing Sculpt-OS workloads on devices with limited resources (e.g., the Pinephone) as well as beefy Intel notebooks. Also, the new human-inclined data (HID) configuration format is now supported in almost all Genode components simultaneously with XML. The most impactful topic, however, is a new modus operandi of co-maintaining applications and libraries in the Genode-World repository, which is re-designated as meeting place for concerted efforts. The latter is supported by new enhancements of the Goa SDK to make software co-maintenance a nonchalant task. Further the release addresses the use of seL4 on 64-bit ARM, Intel Alder Lake GPUs, and USB-to-serial adapters, as well as the addition of TCP/IP Keep Alive.
