Hello Rune,

The OpenROAD application simply is a tool that generates the dynamic
vnode strings and does a test connection. It does not store the
generated

Strings permanently.

Thanks for the answers. If the problem I have run into has been
confirmed as a bug, I'm satisfied.

I'm moving the gateways to a new server, and was hoping that dynamic
vnodes would be a way to avoid creating new vnodes at all client PCs.
The important part is the change of servername, not of user/password.

Durwin, does your OpenROAD app create vnodes that become permanent? (as
an alternative to using netutil in "file mode")

Sounds like Ingres Net bug 115280 - Check in with the local support

group for a patch.

As a side topic; dynamic vnodes aren't really intended for installation

passwords (due to the normal installation password requirements) - they

are really intended for plain user names and passwords.

Chris
