The UK IUA conferences just keep getting better.

Registration for the UK IUA 2010 Conference is way ahead of where we
were this time last year, and last year the event sold out. We have
also had an unusually generous response from our sponsors this year,
including Novell, Talend, Ingres Corporation, HVR and Red Hat. We also
had more presentation proposals than last year and had to turn down
many excellent offers.

The membership fee for conference registration is £75 but we wanted to
celebrate the extra sponsorship we're received, so we've decided to
extend the Early Bird discount for a few more days. Until *midnight
on Friday, May 14* you can still join at the reduced cost of £50.

Register now at https://www.regonline.co.uk/IUA2010

We will have keynote addresses from Novell and Talend. We will have a
State of the Union address from Ingres CEO and president Roger
Burkhardt. Joe Kronk and Emma McGrattan well brief us on the results of
the Ingres development sprint. Bill Maimone will tell us about the new
features of Ingres 10 and the roadmap for future development. In the
afternoon we will have 20 presentations for you to choose from,
including:

* Ray Fan with a Cloud Computing workshop
* Joe Kronk on the Future Strategy for OpenROAD
* Karl Schendel on Multi-Value Consistency Control (MVCC)
* Adrian Hudnott on a novel approach to MVCC
* Roger Whitcomb on Next Generation Ingres Admin Tools
* John Smedley on Getting Started with Vectorwise
* Marty Bowes on Checkpointing with SANs
* Mark Whalley on Monitoring Ingres with Open Source Tools
* Andrew Ross on Using Ingres to Manage Geographical Data
* Roy Deal Simon on New Ways to Deploy OpenROAD eClients
* and many, many more

We will end the day with the ever-popular Executive Q&A (this year you
can use the registration system to submit written questions, right up
to June 7). We will also be presenting the UK IUA community award to
some deserving individual. (Nominations are still open for that until
May 21; send them to [email protected].)

Register now at https://www.regonline.co.uk/IUA2010

Payment can be made by credit card, and this year we are also accepting
PayPal.

Don't wait too long. Not only will you miss out on the Early Bird
discount, I fully expect we will sell out again this year, perhaps
earlier than last year even.
