Runnig a war file would mean putting it in the webapps directory of
tomcat
and starting tomcat. the war (a .zip archieve) will be unpacked by tomcat
What about ROOT directory?, and configure.properties?.
Those are all tomcat terms. ROOT directory is a special
directory under webapps webapps/ROOT that is mapped to the / url of
the running instance.
I must upload the mysql database to phpmyadmin, isn't it?.
Don't konw , for mmbase you need to create a database and mmbase will
create the
table itself.

Hello, I've a tool developed with didactor but I've some doubts.
First: I have the tool with the folders webapps and ROOT.
Second: I don't know what to do with the sql database.
I have done the next:
At first, I have Ubuntu Daper 6.10 and I've installed phpmyadmin, must I
import the database?, in this case, must I create an user and password?.
Too, I've installed tomcat5.5.5.11 and works fine.
If I go to my tool, I see my folders webapps and ROOT, but I can't see the
configure.properties file, that file only I can see it in the didactor
Package, do you know what I mean?. That file allow me the connection
database, but if I don't have that file, what can I do?
Summarizing, I have two packages, didactor and the other tool didactor based.
But the other don't have configure.properties. Neither know which folder
put like .war file, root?, webapps?.
