Hi Ben, Thanks for writing. Unfortunately, there is no IPS repository currently provided by OpenCSW. I definitely agree that OpenCSW packages accessible in the IPS format would be of great value. There have been discussions about creating an IPS repository for OpenCSW, but it would be a major effort. For example, the old srv4 format features Class Action Sripts, which are extensively used at OpenCSW. As far as I know, IPS doesn't have this (or an equivalent) feature. Porting the OpenCSW repository to IPS would require solving this problem. It's not unsolvable, but it's not easy. We are open to the idea and will accept volunteer efforts in this direction. You can still install OpenCSW packages on OpenSolaris, using the legacy packaging tools. You can get started with the following command: pkgadd -d http://mirror.opencsw.org/opencsw/pkgutil-`uname -p`.pkg all pkgutil -U pkgutil -y -i <package name> Regards, Maciej _______________________________________________ users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.opencsw.org/mailman/listinfo/users
