it's me once again... i've just updated facter in the unstable catalog to 1.7.6. the updated version uses ruby 2.0.0 instead of 1.8. so on upgrading to facter 1.7.6 you will also get a newer ruby version.
running ruby 1.8 and 2.0 in parallel should work without any problems. you can always switch the default ruby version with alternatives --config ruby if you have any problems running facter 1.7.6 please drop me an e-mail and open a bug report. thanks toni
