I strongly suggest to never set LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the shell: https://www.opencsw.org/manual/for-administrators/setup.html#do-not-set-ld-library-path If at all use wrapper-scripts that set it on a per-application basis. Everything else will get you in trouble sooner or later.
