Thanks for the response.
The url you supplied merely takes me back to the OPenCSW webpage I was on 
before.
So how exactly do I download the cupsclient from this page ?
Is it the link marked 'common' ?

PS Has a 4th dependency just appeared ... link labelled cas_preserveconf ?
Do I need that also ?

The lp command is included within the cupsclient [1] package. You would have to 
install that too.
