Are you trying to print from a CGI Form the errors lead me to believe that.
Is your /etc/hosts for correct?
You localhost migth not be defined.

Hi,
Thanks for the info about the extra package I needed.
But I'm still making very slow progress with CUPS (my cup runneth not at all !)
Now when I run an lp command, I get a request id as normal.
And when I run lpstat I get
printer 38214L is idle. enabled since 18 April 2016 14:56:57 BST
Ready to print.
So that looks ok.
BUT ... I don't get a print.
So I've now switched on debug and bounced cupsd daemon.
I've browsed the error_log and everything looks fine in there ... to me !
Please see the error_log (attached)
Can anyone see in here some evidence for what the problem might be with failure
to print ?
(The only thing I saw which might be an issue is no default printer ... do I
need one ?)

Subject: Re: CUPS: foomatic-rip file missing

Hello,
I'm still very new to CUPS !
But I have now installed all the CUPS software (I think !) onto my Solaris 10
branded zone.
I have created a printer thru the web interface.
But after I've issued a simple lp command, lpstat is telling me File
"/opt/csw/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip" not available
Sure enough, it ain't there in /opt/csw/lib/cups/filter
Has anyone any idea what it is that I'm still missing ?
CSWfoomatic-filters opt/csw/bin/foomatic-rip
from http://www.opencsw.org/search/ with foomatic-rip in the search box
