Things you can check:
  * websocketproxy.py is running
  * user has enabled SSL for VNC (VNC_WSS="yes")
  * ssl is configured for websocket proxy in oned.conf:
:vnc_proxy_support_wss: yes
:vnc_proxy_cert: <the cert>
:vnc_proxy_key: <the key>

Also opening the javascript console in the webpage when trying to
connect to VNC can give some more info about the problem.
