Thanks, that solved the previous problem.  I can now log in, although I did
get an error when I tried to add a few things to the database.  I solved
this by altering the database structure with a quick script.   I still can't
add a gateway, it gives me a 'data truncated for ip_addr' error.  It seems
to me the only way I can solve this is delving into the code?
