Thanks Clayton

I spoke to Brenton on this. He pretty much shared same observation. I am
thinking instead of we build and maintain that image, it would be nice if it
comes from community and maintain so useful to anyone who want similar approach.

Along with reload, start scripts, it also might requires templates generation
logic based on VHOST & apache syntax. Current template generated routes based
on HAProxy syntax.

Subject: Re: Apache Router

It should be possible to generate an Apache template and change the reload and
router start scripts. I don't see any technical obstacles, just someone
putting together an image with the templates.

Any plans of offering apache based router? Currently it is HAProxy and works
good. Some OSE customers like us need apache based router since we have
dependency with existing SSO agents (or) WAF solutions. These solutions doesn’t
currently work with HAProxy. This forcing us to introduce another apache layer.
Some customers like us already introducing another Reverse Proxies for their
DMZ requirements. Most of the time this reverse proxy is again HAProxy not
apache. These combinations increasing multiple hopes in the path. If we use
apache instead of HAPROXY router, it helps reducing one layer by putting
another apache on top of it.

It would be nice if customer has a choice of apache or haproxy based router. It
helps us a lot. Apache router should be able to generate VHOST like entries for
routing purpose.
