"404 Not Here" is generated by the top of the script and not by the location lookup further down in the demo if I recall correctly. From the way I understand it, normally this occurs because the RURI of the BYE doesn't match the contact RURI of the original request. Essentially the proxy can't match the transaction and rejects it.
