Thank you for this! I also had a patch like this waiting in the send queue :-)
I think we need this. I did run into some problems with GRUU, which I'll detail
in a separate email, and ended up implementing this in order to disable it.
As for the modparam name, may I suggest "disable_gruu", with a default value of
0?
