Yup. Currently I'm using:
prefix("+areacode");
uac_replace_from("\"+areacode$fU\"","sip:+areacode$fU@$rd");
uac_replace_to("$ruri");
But I don't know if that is the best way?

Do you have to add this prefix to the RURI or to the TO URI too ?
For RURI is simple: $rU = "my_prefix" + $rU ;
