Dear PW Developers and Users, I would like to advertise the Ph.D. position available at the Department of Physics and Earth Sciences of the University of Parma.
The main research topic for this three-year project will be Density Functional Theory for muon spectroscopy. This will involve both simulations and experiments designed to validate ab initio approaches used to support the analysis of muon spin rotation and relaxation experiments. The ideal candidate has recently completed or will soon complete a Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry or similar science fields. He/She must have a good knowledge of condensed matter physics or materials science. Experience with computational physics and/or density functional theory is a plus but it is not required. All the details regarding the position are given here: http://www.difest.unipr.it/it/notizie/pubblicati-i-bandi-il-xxxi-ciclo-di-dottorato-di-ricerca-e-la-mobilita-internazionale-dei-0 http://www.fis.unipr.it/cnism/pmwiki.php?n=PaRMA.PhD3 http://www.fis.unipr.it/cnism/uploads/PaRMA/PhD-DFT-MuSR2.0.pdf Anyone interested should contact Prof. Roberto De Renzi ([email protected]) or me ([email protected]).
