Hi there, at wiki.centos.org you can read:
"The default RPMforge repository does not replace official CentOS base packages."
But in my opinion it does. For example nagios-nrpe and nagios-plugins will be available in CentOS base and in RPMForge repo. So a package from base will be replaced.
