I executed 'pear upgrade MDB2-beta' and the log errors have disappeared. The only reports of this problem I found on the forums are with 0.4.x and 0.5.x, and they occurred BECAUSE of upgrades, same as in my case (or similar at least). The problem was never fixed by an upgrade. And in each case the problem was fixed with a completely different solution. One involved disabling PHP suhosin (which I can't do), the other simply copying one of the *.php files over that was missed during a manual upgrade (which I also can't do). So apparently multiple root causes can result in this single login redirect problem, and at the same time, leave no trace in the logs as to what is failing or where to look to go about fixing it, which is the absolute worst part of this. To boot, this was a Linux distribution upgrade, not an app source upgrade, that caused this, or at least seems to have caused this. Still looking for suggestions. This RC doesn't have a lot of demanding (yet) users but it's been down a couple days now and I'd really like to get it running again. And I'm no closer to accomplishing that.
