I assume FF doesn't add the history because the search form is never really
submitted (in terms of a HTML form submission) but read by javascript which
then loads data via ajax. Seems like IE has some other rules when to store
form history.

However, that's not a bug of neither Roundcube nor Firefox or IE but just
different interpretations.

Saved searches (aka virtual folders) are planned for Roundcube somewhere in
the future and I suppose that's the path we should follow instead of trying
to trick browsers.
