I used RC 1.3.3 with the in.imapproxyd software to cache IMAP connections. When I upgraded to version 1.4.4 I started having problems with in.imapproxyd, it presents segfault and restarts. This has happened a few times during the day and not every moment. Enabling verbose in the logs, I found the following message: # in. imapproxyd May 26 10:47:08 web in.imapproxyd[31843]: QUEUED PREAUTH failed: server response to queued pre-authentication command contained non-matching tag.
