some feedback from test on big text files:
I can't use sed to split files since I've only a windows7-32bit machine...
I tried the hex editor (HxD) which works fine for splitting big file quite
easily.
On my W7-32bits scilab 5.4.1 machine, the max limit (stacksize("max")) for
reading text file is between 100Mo and 200Mo.-->Finally i succeeded to read directly (around 5 min) the 900Mo text file using csvRead call on another machine WINXP-64bits scilab 5.4.0: great ! conclusion : move to 64bit definetely...
