Yes, it suffers from a new bug in 2023.0.0<https://gitlab.com/scilab/scilab/-/issues/16983>: the message is not printed. This bug is already corrected for the next release 2023.1 (may 2023). Also the examples in the help are commented. It is weird, indeed. I was not able to find in the history of the example any rationale about why it has been commented. It was already the case in Scilab 4.1.2 (2007), and maybe even before. We could propose to make the example executable, as well as new examples as for instance when inputing the name of a variable. Does that mean this function will be skipped in the future?
