Problem solved! The latter was nothing to do with the <connection> tag, other than my mistaken belief that it was used to generated the report. The problem was that I had not checked out the source code locally from CVS, I just had a copy of it but there were no CVS control directories. I checked out the code and it works great.
Thanks for all the help and for writing the plugins in the first place! Quick question on the <connection> format. Mine currently reads: scm:cvs:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home1/fitcs1/users/gfinet/GFINET :GFIUnit I was originally missing the 6th token. I am assuming that this should be the subdirectory within the CVS repository (i.e. this would work on the directory /home1/fitcs1/users/gfinet/GFINET/GFIUnit on the remote server). Is that correct? If so, what if I need to use the top-level directory? Would I just use a period for "current dir"? One other thing - if I have to use 6 tokens do I assume I have to use pserver? What if I had a local CVS repository? Thanks, Jason. -----Original Message----- From: Heritier Arnaud [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 16 January 2004 18:33 To: Maven Users List Subject: RE: Changelog question Verify if you haven't a message saying that your password is incorrect. If you have this message verify that you have a .cvspass file in your HOME directory. I had this problem whem I switched to the last changelog SNAPSHOT Arnaud. -----Message d'origine----- De : Morris, Jason [IT] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Envoyé : vendredi 16 janvier 2004 19:23 À : Maven Users List Objet : RE: Changelog question Thanks Emmanuel, I did and it looks like I only had 5 tokens. I now get a report generated okay, but it is empty. I remember an earlier mail saying that the developer id's in the POM had to match the CVS ids. Do they ALL have to match to get any output, or will it still include changes by developers who are listed? Thanks again, Jason -----Original Message----- From: Emmanuel Venisse [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 16 January 2004 17:27 To: Maven Users List Subject: Re: Changelog question Your problem is here: "repository connection string contains less than six tokens". Verify your connection string.
