This is what I do in grizzly and it works fine:

        <dependency>
            <groupId>org.glassfish.grizzly</groupId>
            <artifactId>grizzly-utils</artifactId>
            <version>${project.version}</version>
            <classifier>tests</classifier>
            <scope>test</scope>
        </dependency>
