Hi.
D'oh! Just spent half an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't do a release. Hopefully this will keep someone else from doing the same. Kept getting the following error message: [ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-release-plugin:2.2.1:perform (default-cli) on project parent: No SCM URL was provided to perform the release from -> [Help 1] Of course, all I'm looking at is the "No SCM URL ..." part of the message and pulling my hair out because the scm url is in the pom. The problem was I was thinking "prepare" but typing "perform". Perhaps a more useful message would be the above plus ... "HAVE YOU DONE A PREPARE?" - given that the release.properties file doesn't exist until you run release:perform. I know I'm not the only one to run into this problem, cause there's lots of hits on Google.
