[RESOLVED] OK, so, apparently this is an issue with Maven 3.3.3, and when I
downgraded to Maven 3.2.5, everything worked as expected.

Subject: Cannot seem to install Maven on Windows 7 64-bit

Hi, all.

I did the following:

* installed jdk-8u60-windows-x64

"java -version" output:
C:\>java -version
java version "1.8.0_60"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_60-b27)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.60-b23, mixed mode)

* extracted the ZIP into C:\maven
* added the following environment variable: MAVEN_HOME = C:\maven
* appended the following to the PATH: %MAVEN_HOME%\bin

"maven -version" outputs the same thing as "java -help" instead of the expected
"Apache Maven 3....." stuff.

Any thoughts here?
