I'd like to make sure I understand what you are saying: 1. Developers build as always using ibiblio. Most likely they have local repositories on their machines.
2. One of the local repositories will also serve as certification's remote repository. 3. Certification builds using this remote repository. 4. Certification runs maven-proxy so that it can access the local repository as if it were a remote repository? I don't understand the need for Step 4. Could certification just share the local repository the same way that developers do? Won't the local repository contain downloaded stuff as well as locally built stuff (via jar:install)? Of course we could more carefully control the shared local repository. If the certification team is allow to connect within your intranet then you can setup your own remote repository for them to use. On your machine say you could build with a remote repo of ibiblio and your dependencies will be downloaded in your local repository. You could then turn around and use your local repository as the certification teams remote repository. You can setup your own webserver and if you have an existing servlet container running you can use Ben's maven-proxy: http://maven-proxy.codehaus.org/ You probably don't want to mirror all of ibiblio. It's about 2gb now the majority of which you probably don't use. You've got exactly the depenedencies you need in your own local repository so I would suggest using those :-) > Thanks, > C.
