Hi Alexander,
that's why we decided to set the JIRA notification schema to "(only)
author gets notificed". So they get an info that the issue they created
in JIRA was migrated to GitHub :)

involved in on GitHub and decide for each one of them whether to
subscribe or not. Otherwise, I would never had any chance to get

I'm happy to inform you that today we have migrated the last planed JIRA
project/component to GitHub issues, bringing us to the end of phase 2 of
the migration.
In this phase we migrated all issues for the affected
projects/components to the correspondent repository and generated links
from the JIRA issue to the created GitHub issues. Saying this noone
needs to work in Maven JIRA again, but can do everything on GitHub.
I want to thank everybody involved, especially my teammates Sanra
Parsick and Olivier Lamy, but also Gavin McDonald from the INFRA team.
Gavin supported us with things like providing permissions or
changing/dis-/enabling notifications on the GitHub repositories and JIRA
projects. Thanks to him we were really able to disable mail
notifications, because (after we flooded the ASF mail server *hust*) we
learned that the way we used before was not working.
In the next days I will continue to finish the migration, by doing the
tasks to archive three inactive components and then apply read only
permission to all JIRA projects. As these clean up tasks should not
affect any regular user I won't notify again when done.
