You can use UNC path names using 4 slahes:

file:////myserver/myshare

regards,

Wim

PS: Does anybody know why FireFox requires 5 slahes, like
file://///myserver/myshare ?

I don't think you can use the "file" protocol from Java to access
another computer from windows shares. You should mount the Shared folder
from Vindaloo (let's say "V:") and use it in your repository path :

maven.repo.remote=file:///V:/repository
maven.repo.internalrepository=file:///V:

in a file URL, the third "/" means "localhost root", this is the reason
your jar is deployed to C:/
"file:///" == "file://localhost/"

You can try to use "file://Vindaloo/", but I've no idea if it may work.
