Check http://mojo.codehaus.org/jboss-sar-maven-plugin/, not http://docs.codehaus.org/display/SM/Maven+SAR+plugin
Everything under http://mojo.codehaus.org is for maven2. Be aware that you may need to build it from sources as I don't think it has been released yet.
