Hello, Yes, it is indeed written for Maven 1 but most concepts apply too in Maven 2. I think the ideas that are common to Maven 1 & 2 include: using conventions (which I think is one of the points of using best practices), following the project development cycle and the use of plugins for extensibility. For all other stuff I missed, just consult 'em here in the mailing list. :)
