Subject: [m2] When will the Maven Repository Manager be available ?

I'm in the process of setting up a maven enviroment and i need to cache
the central repository. I see that maven-proxy is available, but version
0.2 is the last version going to be released and included in Maven
Repository Manager. Should i go ahead and set up maven-proxy or wait for
Maven Repository Manager to be available ?

Thank you kindly.
