Hello,

We use the same proxy host and port both for http and https.
With Maven 2.0.4 i am able to dynamically download plugins over http but not over https.
In the latter case i get

Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

The file to be downloaded is
Downloading: https://maven-repository.dev.java.net/repository/com.sun.xml.bind/poms/jaxb-impl-2.0.pom
and my .m2/settings reads

<settings>
  <localRepository>//winpc229/supply/Maven2/Repository</localRepository>
  <proxies>
    <proxy>
      <active>true</active>
      <protocol>http</protocol>
      <host>proxy</host>
      <port>81</port>
    </proxy>
    <proxy>
      <active>true</active>
      <protocol>https</protocol>
      <host>proxy</host>
      <port>81</port>
    </proxy>
  </proxies>
</settings>

What is the problem and how can it be resolved?

Thanks

Franz
