I guess my question should have been more clear as I haven't received a response.
Should non-Java code be included in /src/main/java/ if it is imperative to be in both the production and unit test scope? I have XML files for Castor JDO that are used in production and must be exactly the same in the test scope.... In the main code, I'd like jdo-conf.xml to use the container's datasource but in test code I'd like it to use a JDBC connection string to acquire the connection. This works perfectly because I keep jdo-conf.xml in the src/main/resource/ and src/test/resource/ folders respectively for production code and unit test code. The mapping.xml file though should be the same for both production and test and ideally I don't copy it twice into the two resource folders (as this creates a management headache in source control every time we change the file). Should it go into src/main/java/ instead or is there another better way to manage this dependency?
