There is a JIRA project for reporting repository errors:

http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MEV

Wherein this is already reported:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MEV-530

Any chance it could be fixed?

(And if someone's doing that one, maven-2.0.7.pom, MEV-536 too)

Thanks,
Max.

I've been having some strange issues lately with Maven plugins not
downloading correctly from the central repository. In the course of
trying to track down the problem, I've discovered there's at least one
bad checksum in the central repo. I'm seeing this error:

Downloading: http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/org/apache/maven/maven/2.0.6/maven-2.0.6.pom
8K downloaded
[WARNING] *** CHECKSUM FAILED - Checksum failed on download: local =
'1991be0ed3e1820e135201406d5acabf8c08d426'; remote =
'218016709d90d14b64bfb1de3a86a2247e8873db' - RETRYING

I verified that the checksums Maven is reporting are correct, and I
was able to find messages about these particular checksum values, but
I didn't find any reports that would indicate why this problem is
happening or what to do about it. Is there some better place to
report issues like this?
