Thanks, I have opened a JIRA issue at http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MASSEMBLY-332 . I didn't mention the http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MASSEMBLY-74 bug in the issue description, because for me the problem appears only for a assembly with a war format.
