It seems the old 2.0.9-SNAPSHOT has been removed. Try the following command:
mvn archetype:generate -DarchetypeGroupId=org.apache.struts -DarchetypeArtifactId=struts2-archetype-starter -DarchetypeVersion=2.0.11.2-SNAPSHOT I also noticed this version has been released to http://repo2.maven.org/maven2 [1], but I can't get the archetype plugin to retrieve this version. I tried: mvn archetype:generate -DarchetypeGroupId=org.apache.struts -DarchetypeArtifactId=struts2-archetype-starter -DarchetypeVersion=2.0.11.2 -DarchetypeRepository=http://repo2.maven.org/maven2 But that doesn't seem to work.
