toI would suggest that you first use tcpdump or such tool to find out where your WAP gateway is sending its traffic. From what you say, it seems the problem is on the WAP gateway side of things. Can you check where the traffic is being directed (as a first step). On Feb 25, 2005, at 02:18, Oscar Flores wrote:

The homepage is really the MMSC URL. So you need to ensure that theisgateway maps that to the host/port of mbuni... On Feb 24, 2005, at 16:12, Oscar Flores wrote:
Hello Users,
Sorry again, but I'm a really newbie on this, my question is does the
homepage needs any special configuration to route the MM?
The home page in the connection settings is http://wap.viva-gsm.com what should be the map-url? in order to Mbuni gets the MM?.
Wap Gateway and MBuni are running in the same server.
Many thanks

For the Series 60 Nokia (6600 and I think so is 3590), the MMSC URLandthe 'Homepage' in the connection settings. I have tested both 6600nombre3650 over CSD and they work fine.

Hello,
Thanks for your answers, I think I found my problem, I looked at various Nokia phones. The problem is that we don't have GPRS we are a GSM network and we use CSD for data calls.
The nokia models who I found the MMSC URL are all just GPRS form MM,
like
the Nokia 6610, 6590, 7250, 7250i
The ones that support MMS for CSD (we are currently using with an
external
service provider) does not have this MMSC URL like the 3590, and
Nokia
6600,
but when I sent a GPRS settings the MMSC URL appears in the setting.
does it make sense for you?
Any idea of how to make this work?
Many thanks

Hello Oscar,
Setting MMSC URL in the phone depends very much on phone model. Typically you need to look at "message settings", and inside there should find MMSC URL setting. What phone model are we looking at here? On Feb 23, 2005, at 16:17, Oscar Flores wrote:

also
the
HomePage which is "http://wap.viva-gsm.com" my companie's wap site.
But
nothing about MMSC URL?
And in the map-url I put
map-url = "http://wap.viva-gsm.com/* http://localhost:1981/*" is that correct?
Because the result is the same no messages get the MBuni programs

Hi,
what MMSC URL do you use in your phone? If it's something like http://mmsc, you need to define URL mapping in your kannel.conf as said in Mbuni user's guide:
map-url = "http://mmsc/* http://localhost:1981/*"
If your WAP gateway and Mbuni MMSC are independent, then you should
define external host instead of localhost in mmsbox group.

I've installed the Mbuni and all the required components. And I'm tryingOTAuse it but I haven't been able to make it works.
Kannel is running ok (both the smsbox and wapbox), I can send messages,inSettings, also the WAP Gateway is working fine.
Mbuni starts with no errors, but when I try to send a MM from my mobile, I can see that the WAP gateway is receiving the request but nothing happensisMbuni gateway none of the programs do something.
I tried the mmssend program to test mbuni and works it sends a MM to my email, but not to my mobile.
