This is very common.

Then Mbuni is probably not what you want.

What you probably want is an MM7 connection to one of the telcos in
Italy. If you want to send to regular users, there's no way around
forcing them to change their MMSC configuration on their phone, so an
MM7 connection is the only way to go.
