Do you know of anyone in particular? I've been slow in getting back to you on earlier thread while trying to get the NowSMS gateway to run. It runs ok- I can send MMS to atleast one other Nokia phone using cingular. But, I'm having problems using the phone to send MMS directly to the Cingular MMSC. The NowSMS gateway provides this option but it doesn't work. If I use the Nokia 6620 to connect to the internet, I can get http requests through 66.209.11.61( or 32, can't remember which right now). But, I have been unable to get any response from mmsc.cingular.com ( 66.102.171.150) to http connections.
I've also had a problem with WAP push- looks like messages don't get forwarded or links get removed. Thinking that I could fool it into thinking I'm the phone, I tried to get a reverse wap gateway, wspp, to translate http into wsp. I was able to see udp packets exchanged over the ppp0 interface but that was as far as I got. I have verified that I can forward received MMS messages using the app on the phone, I'm still not sure what I need to do to get the desktop to act like the app. Thanks. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf > Of Paul Bagyenda > Sent: Monday, July 18, 2005 1:10 AM > To: Mbuni MMS Gateway Users List > Subject: Re: [Users] mbuni and cell phones as gateways > > > Hi Paolo, > > Apologies for the delay in responding. > There are people using this kind of setup, so yes it is possible. > On Jul 08, 2005, at 15:24, Paolo Losi wrote: > > > Hi all, > > I'm trying to find a solution for sending mms to > italian mobile > > operators. > > > > Up to now I've been able to send mms notification via sms gateways > > (clickatell.com).
