Hi Ian

Good info about the SMS SMPP support for all users.

To clarify a little on what you are saying, basically that is binary SMS WAP push, with specific MMS port headers to enable a phone to make a GPRS connection to collection the binary MMS payload from a http server.

We use this a lot for our clients as it is very cost effective for the sender, however it must be said as this isn't true MMSC connectivity, carriers such as Orange UK, which do not allow off-network delivery of content to their MMSC, block this.

Therefore for us in the UK to reach all carriers we do off-network binary SMS push for most, and direct MMSC connectivity through Mobile365, MXTelecom or similar to achieve this.

mBlox support SMPP for all clients :)

mBlox support MMS on just a few delivers at the moment however we don't support MM7, instead we use a proprietary method where we can deliver SMS Wap Push as MMS. This is dead useful for existing content providers who already have their content delivery platform set up for wap push.
Perhaps we'll support MM7 in the future. However, our development will be
customer driven so make sure you talk to your mBlox account manager about your
requirements.
