Starting with AnnotRel and SMIL

Hi,

Using SMILand MMBase, I would like to use the AnnotRel relations, to 
define the annotated times for my slide shows (for example). Reading 
through the thesis of David van Zeventer, I could not find a way of 
creating a AnnotRel (between two objects) through the SCAN-editor. I 
only activated the annotrel builder, do I need to do more than that?
