There is some documentation around this on the MMBase website on

for connection with JSP try:

Besides that, MMBase has the possibility to send XML to a flash movie,
(trough a mechanism simular to image.db) which can be imported by
a movie. This XML (which can include navigation, text etc) can be imported 
best into Flash MX. There is no real X-Path (although Macromedia pretends
so) but there a lot of utils/scripts to fix this.
