of all the open-source uml development tools I found I think jude is the
best for drawing diagrams

umlbrello is a bit buggy but supports xmi so creating mmbase appications
might be possible

if you are using a "normal" IDE and want to create mmbase application
I can recomend to use the mmbasedoclet
http://mmapps.sourceforge.net/mmbasedoclet/
or the mmbasedoclet plugin
http://mmapps.sourceforge.net/maven-mmbasedoclet-plugin/

i have looked quite hard for a reasonable oss uml editor, and didn't

with much.
Maybe it's a thought to write an xsl for transcoding dia output to the

format. Shouldn't that exist allready?
