My personal opinion is that right now, you're always better off with the latest code. There are still a lot of bugs that are being found (and fixed.) Every few days I find a new issue.
No big deal this is a new implementation of a relatively new spec. That's to be expected. The only way to improve it is for people to test and report issues. I think you'll find that your bugs will be addressed fairly quickly. 1.0.8 also includes support for the new "forceId" attribute (not sure if you've been following those discussions.) Anyways, I'm looking to hear back from folks on whether that feature is working out for them.
