Hi,

Have you tried using the attribute selector 
[id='namingContainer:componentToStyle']?
I tried this in FireFox. IE7 however doesn't see it, but I guess that's not 
very surprising, is it?
In FireFox you can also use #namingContainer\:componentToStyle. And again IE 
doesn't follow the specs here.
