We'd be interested to know about the multiple rendering problem (and any other issues) that you are facing. Have you tried our forums? Do you have a simple test case that shows the issue? We had a customer who had an issue with multiple renderings of content in a portlet that we fixed
As for the official portlet bridge spec, we're aiming to support that for our ICEfaces 2.0 release but I don't have a final release date for that product at this time.
