It’s probably bad form to answer one’s own question ! However:
1. Look at the About window gives the cache location. 2. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8689780/how-to-clear-the-cache-in-netbeans is helpful. 3. Clearing the cache clears the problem. Is it worth bug reporting corrupt cache issues next time it happens ?
