As far as I can tell, it doesn't seem to be a dependency issue. I was able to do a simple consumption of MQTT images making use of the same items you added to 0.5.0. For my case, NiFi, MiNiFi were running on the baremetal system and using an MQTT container ( https://hub.docker.com/_/eclipse-mosquitto/). Just to clarify a bit more, could you please describe where each component is running. NiFi is a Docker instance on the same server as the MQTT broker (which is a standalone service)? MiNiFi (running on the machine) is on the same host as NiFi and the broker? I've been having a bit of a hard time replicating the conditions you are seeing, but it could be an issue with the root cause being a bug in the library [1] and then NiFi being unable to appropriately cleanup after triggering it. Would you be able to share all the configured properties you are using for ConsumeMQTT instance? Any information about how the broker is configured would also be helpful. If you would be able to also do the iterative thread dumps that Joe suggested earlier when configured with an IP instead of localhost, that would be a great help to focus in on the area at fault.
